FR/WHR Dual fitted brake van (ex-quarryman’s coach) (PW73)
 
This ex-type III quarryman’s coach was rebuilt for use on the WHR as a brake van. Fitted with end windows and both air brake and vacuum brake it carried the number 4. An attractive and useful vehicle for the modeller, and especially for those building Ffestiniog themed ‘might have been’ layouts, it sets a precedent for the possibility of rebuilt FR vehicles operating away from FR metals.
